But God

I may not look pretty to them, but in God, I do.
I may not smart to them, but in God, I am.
They may not know me, but God does.
I may not a friend to them, but in God, I am.
I may not matter to them, but in God, I do.
I may not famous to them, but in God, I am.
They may not love me, but God does.
I may be small to them, but in God, I'm big.
I may be weak to them, but God believes I'm strong.
They may have abandoned me, but God never leaves me.
They may have hurt me, but God healed me.

See? I may be NOTHING to them, but God values me so much!

God Wants Me to Know

If you feel yourself floundering in the sea of life, try leaning back and floating. Let yourself be supported. Gaze into the beautiful sky and allow time for your spirit to be refreshed. Then when you are feeling stronger, simply choose a direction and start swimming.

My parents may not that old compared to the video, but eventually, they will soon. This video has touched my heart so much. It made me realize how short the time we have on earth and with that, we need to use that time wisely. While it's not too late, let's show our love and care to our parents.

So much for the pretensions.
So much for the lies.
So much for trying to meet their expectations.
So much for not being myself.
I'm tired of it.
I wanna live.
I want a life.
I want to be free.
I will listen to them no longer.
I will be me!

The Only Important Thing

Busy here, busy there. We are all busy with our studies, work, family, business and friends. We do everything in order for us to be successful, but let me ask you, have you really done everything or are you missing something? Something that is very important, in fact, it is the most important thing.

Let me tell you a story. This is about Jesus and His friends, Martha and Maria. One day, Jesus visited Maria and Martha for them to have fellowship with Him. As Jesus arrived, Martha, who loves Jesus so much, got busy cleaning the house and preparing the food for Him while Mary  has just seated beside Jesus listening to His words.  When Martha noticed that Mary is not helping her, she asked Jesus to tell Mary to help her. But, Jesus told her "Martha! Martha you are worried and upset on many things which in fact only few things are needed and Mary chose the better thing, the most important thing!"

The story tells us not to get ourselves busy on things that are not worthy to have our attention. It tells us to put God as our first priority. Have we ever not realized that we are all busy on achieving things that are of worldly basis, things that we cannot bring to heaven and we cannot use when the real judgment comes. Have we ever not realized that all those careers, diplomas, famous names and others are not the basis for our salvation? The judgment time is like a commencement exercise, we will march on the isle bringing what we have achieved based on how we have expressed our love for Him and how we have pleased Him in our existence here on earth.

God gave us this borrowed life for us to please Him and only Him. We are not here to please ourselves. It is therefore right to live this life fruitfully. And when I say fruitfully, what I mean is a life with lots achievements in terms of pleasing our creator.

Here is the source of the story.

Luke 10:38-42

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Hello DECEMBER

December 1, 2011 at last! This month is my most awaited month of the year, because aside from being the year's last month, this is also the month of the birth of Jesus. What makes this month an awaited one? Well, this is the time when giving, loving, peace and understanding are mostly felt. The warm hello and greetings of "merry Christmas" from people passing by, the gifts from families and friends and most of all, the perfect time of gathering family members together are just are an "oh so overwhelming" jiffy that could make your heart fly. But those acts I've mentioned earlier are just part of the party. The most important thing that we need to do is to be grateful to our Almighty for giving us His only begotten son who have saved us from our unrighteous deeds.

On the other hand, how sad it is for me to think that those signs of loving and giving are can only be visible on Christmas season.I mean, when it's not Christmas, it is rarely seen. Why can't we show this every month? (Oh well, it's just a thought! Let's go back to the happy one.)

Another awaited things on Christmas are the Christmas decorations. Especially with us, Filipinos, we love to decorate our houses with lights and lanterns (star shaped lanterns mostly). Beautiful and twinkling lights on roads, parks and almost everywhere plus the Christmas carols we sing on every houses are just very wonderful and very overwhelming on the heart.

The happiness that Christmas brings is the most awaited one. It is not all about the twinkling lights, foods and gifts, rather, it's about the smile brought about by the love from others. Let's be joyful for this season, above all, let's all be thankful to Jesus for coming to our lives.

         MERRY CHRISTMAS to you.  :)

That Feeling

From LOVE AT FIRST HICCUP. I just watched this movie,
which made me feel what I'm feeling right now.
I want to feel that feeling again.

It's been three years since my last relationship. It's not that nobody courts me, it's just me having an oath not to enter any relationship before college graduation. As a college student, kinda weird huh? But it's not for me. I have this principle that TRUE LOVE WAITS.

Being like this is not easy. You've got to have a lot of self control. I kinda miss the feeling by the way. Having someone to greet you good morning in the phone, someone you could talk and tell almost everything, one who you feel comfortable with. I miss the feeling of being taken care of, I miss having someone to call my own, to love and cherish.

Well, I'm still young, I still have a lot of time. That could wait for sure and my prince charming could wait too.

Naah! I just wanna express what I'm feeling right now.

My New Year's Resolution

Since new year is near, here I go again with my new year's resolution. Well, I guess, it's too early for you to be thinking about it, but for me, it's not. So here I go.

This 2012, I want to fulfill all my plans. Here are the following plans I need to do:

1. Be a CHRISTIAN by heart not just by name.

Life on earth isn't about what will you become in the future and how successful you are. It's about how you spend every minute of your life being an instrument and servant of our ever loving Father. We need to live as christian. Live like Christ did.
Well, I am a christian but I have noticed lately that I have drawn myself far from God. It seems I cannot reach Him anymore or maybe it is I who's refusing and avoiding Him. Living a christian life is not that easy, but I'll see to it that I'll be able to fulfill this. I put this one first on the list because it is our greatest priority as children of God to be His child by deed, by words and by heart.

2. Be the ideal daughter my parents want.

I'm not saying that I am the worst daughter, but I'll just say that I do mistakes sometimes. Mistakes that I regret right after doing so. I love my parents so much that there is nothing else I want to see on earth but their faces full of laughter. Well, they are happy, but I want to make them happier.
Sometimes, I could feel that I'm a burden to them, well, not to mention that they have to pay for my tuition fee this semester, because I've been suspended with my scholarship. I want to give them a gift, something that they could always cherish forever. Since, I am a gift to them as they say, I need to make them feel that I'm a gift. I really want them to be happy everyday, and I think, just by being a good daughter, I will be able to make them happy. I just hope so.

3. Be a responsible student.

This is the field that I suck the most. I don't hate school I just get a little lazy on studying my lessons and became very hard working mammal on procrastination. That maybe the reason why I fail a subject this semester that leads to the suspension of my scholarship. I need to get good grades today. I can do this.

4. Try to cut the pride.

I know I have this pride that drives me to offend someone. I don't want to do such things but I sometimes forgot that what I'm doing is not good anymore. I need stop myself. I sometimes brag things too and I don't like that. It's like a disease that comes to you naturally. It's like a voluntary muscle, it just do what it does without telling it so. I need to cut this!

5. Less bitterness.

When I say bitterness, I mean being rude or hot tempered or I don't know. I don't understand it. I sometimes feel being bitter to people whom have not done anything bad to me. Sometimes, i get mad when I see the apartment so messy, (I hate mess by the way, I don't wanna see my stuffs up side down.), I get bitter when others are noisy and are being so childish. I don't know, I just don't understand this feeling. I still need some time to go deeper with myself and investigate the source of this bitterness.

6. Healthy diet.

Woah! I need to put a lot of work on this. I eat unhealthy foods a lot and I know that it's not good for my body. I need to encourage myself on eating veggies and stop skipping meals. I need a discipline!

7. Be thrifty.

I spend a lot of money on unimportant stuffs. This year, I want to see a remembrance of me being thrifty. I need to save money.

8. Less procrastination.

Woah! There's a lot of self discipline needed for this. I just hope I can do it! AJA!

9. Get enough sleep.

The longest hour of sleep I get everyday is six hours, not bad huh? But I need eight hours for a proper sleeping. Got to stop procrastinating so that I could sleep early.

10. Have a life!
Be happy and gay! Be free and expressive! Be myself !

Super Crush

When I was in high school, crush is not a big thing to me. I did not even remember myself having a crush on someone. But since my college life started, this crush thingy has started with it too. Well, at first, it was just like admiring someone you found very handsome, cute or appealing. I really don't have big crushes on people around me, my crushes are those male actors who played a very awesome role in the movie they're in. Well, as for you to know, I love watching movies of love stories, teenage stories to specific.

Once, when I was a second year, I saw this movie in titled CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE with Mario Maurer who acts as Shone in the movie. By the time I saw him, my heart goes like this: dug dug, dug dug,! Oh my God, what a handsome man. Since that very moment, up until now, my huge crush on that man is very alive. Yeah, I know it's impossible to for us to be together, (HOPING??? hahaha) but I hope I would be able to meet him before I get married (hahaha).

I'm not the kind who easily fall in love with someone, and just to make everything clear, I'M NOT IN LOVE WITH MARIO MAURER! (hahaha) I just have a crush on him. That's it!  So, for those who wants to be my prince, you still have a chance. (hahaha. Feeleeer!)

Undo

There are things in life that we wish not to happen but they do, we wish not to have done, but we did, things that we want to be undone but we can't. We don't have the ability of a time traveler that can go to the future and see what will happen if we do this and that, we don't have superpowers that can turn back time and undo the things that we regret. Were human, we all do mistakes, we do things that we deplore. No matter how much we tell ourselves not to regret because at one point, it was exactly what we wanted, there would just that moment that we would tell ourselves, "I wish I have not done it.", and it's too late, we have nothing else to do but to lament. What's the hard part about it are the sufferings, if it would not be physical, it will be emotional pain and it's hard. It's really hard. It slowly kills us in the inside, it can makes us weak, vulnerable, lazy and most of all, it can makes us stop living.

The pain, if not treated well and handled properly would make us hopeless and a hopeless life means a meaningless, senseless and useless living. We need to stop the pain, heal the wounds and go on with our lives. The only  way for us to do it is to face the consequences of our actions, try to find solutions for the problems, stop thinking of undoing what have happened, be open minded, live back on track, start a new beginning, and most of all, we need to entrust our life the omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent God. Only with Him we can be healed, take a rest and keep calm. Only with Him we can achieve peace and hope.

Just a Thought

Every bad things that we are suffering at the present are consequences of the wrong things we have done in the past. It is therefore necessary to live your present life rightfully so that future will not face regrets.

A CHAT WITH JESUS CHRIST...

Jesus: Hello. Did you call me?

Man: Called you? No. Who is this?

Jesus: This is Jesus. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.

Man: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.

Jesus: What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.

Man: Don’t know. But I can’t find free time. Life has become hectic. It’s rush hour all the time.

Jesus: Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.

Man: I understand. But I still can’t figure out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.

Jesus: Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

Man: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?

Jesus: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Man: why are we then constantly unhappy?

Jesus: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That’s why you are not happy.

Man: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?

Jesus: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Man: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.

Jesus: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

Man: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?

Jesus: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don’t suffer. With that experience their life become better not bitter.

Man: You mean to say such experience is useful?

Jesus: Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Man: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can’t we be free from problems?

Jesus: Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

Man: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don’t know where we are heading.

Jesus: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.

Man: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?

Jesus: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

Man: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

Jesus: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Man: What surprises you about people?

Jesus: When they suffer they ask, “why me? When they prosper, they never ask “Why me” Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.

Man: Sometimes I ask, who I am, why am I here. I can’t get the answer.

Jesus: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.

Man: How can I get the best out of life?

Jesus: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

Man: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.

Jesus: There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.

Man: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the day with a new sense of inspiration.

Jesus: Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don’t believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.

Man: Thank you so much.

Jesus: You are always welcome. Have a good day my fr
iend.

THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS
For the next 60 seconds, set aside whateverYou're doing and take this opportunity! Let's see if SatanCan stop this.... ... ... ... THE(SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUSAt the age of 33,Jesus was condemned to death .At the timeCrucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worstCriminals were condemned to be crucified. Yet it wasEven more dreadful for Jesus, unlikeOther criminals condemned to death byCrucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to theCross by His hands and feet. Each nailWas 6 to 8 inches long. The nailsWere driven into His wrist. NotInto His palms as is commonlyPortrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist thatExtends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knewThat when the nails were being hammered into theWrist that tendon would tear andBreak, forcing Jesus to use His backMuscles to support himself so that He couldBreath.

Both of His feet
Were nailed together. Thus He was forced toSupport Himself on the single nail thatImpaled His feet to the cross. Jesus couldNot support himself with His legs because of the painSo He was forced to alternate between arching HisBack then using his legs just to continue toBreath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, theSuffering, the courage.Jesus endured thisReality for over 3 hours.Yes,Over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind ofSuffering? A few minutes before He died,Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring waterFrom his wounds. From common imagesWe see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear woundTo His side... But do we realize His woundsWere actually made in his body. A hammerDriving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlappedAnd an even large nail hammered through the arches, then aRoman guard piercing His side with a spear. ButBefore the nails and the spear Jesus was whipped andBeaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore theFlesh from His body. The beating so horrific that HisFace was torn and his beard ripped from His face. TheCrown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most menWould not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood
To bleed out, only water poured from HisWounds. The human adult body contains about 3.5 liters(just less than a gallon) of blood.Jesus poured all 3.5Liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into HisMembers; a crown of thorns on His head and, beyondThat, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into HisChest..All these withoutMentioning the humiliation He suffered after carrying His ownCross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in hisFace and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight,Only for its higher part, where His hands wereNailed).Jesus hadTo endure this experience, to open theGates of Heaven,So that you can have freeAccess to God.So that your sinsCould be "washed" away. All of them, with no exception!Don't ignore this situation.JESUSCHRIST DIED FOR YOU!

He died for you! It
Is easy to pass jokes or foolish photos by e-mail, butWhen it comes to God, sometimes you feel ashamed to forwardTo others because you are worried of what they may thinkAbout you.GodHas plans for you, show all your friends what He experiencedTo save you. Now think about this! May God bless yourLife!60Seconds with God...For the next 60Seconds, set aside what you're doing and takeThis opportunity! Let's see if Satan can stopThis. All you have to doIs:1. SimplyPray for the person who sent this message toYou:2.Then, send thisMessage to people.. The more the better.3. People willPray for you and you will make that many people pray to GodFor other people.4. Take aMoment to appreciate the power of God in your life, forDoing what pleases Him.

If you are not
Ashamed to do this, please, follow Jesus' instructions. He said (Matthew 10:32 & 33): "Everyone thereforeWho acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledgebefore My Father in heaven; but whosoever denies Mebefore others, I will deny before my Father in heaven.

Pray

If this child and his dog know how to pray, why can't we?

Wake Up!

Few decades ago, Philippines was considered as one of the promising countries in Asia - acclaimed by World Bank as a future power house. Well, we cannot deny it because, as we can see, we have a lot of resources to utilize for our progress.

With over 7000 islands, we are endowed with a fertile land and a subtropical climate that provides an environment for different species of plants and animals. We are also anointed with lots of mineral, agricultural and marine resources and an extensive coastline filled with marine life.It was said that we can attract foreign investments because of our stocks of gold, silver, copper, cobalt and useful minerals for industry and according to Philippine History website, the country brags for it's many forms of natural waters which adduce a huge harvest of fishes for local consumption and exportation abroad.

Inspite of these facts, what happened to the Philippines now? Does it progressed? Well, the answer with that is obviously no! In fact, it became worst. According to Rommel Banlaoi a political science professor at the National Defense College, "Philippines is the sick man of Asia".

What made him said that? Well, look around you, do see the answer? If not, let me tell you.

Let's start with the most obvious one, the population growth. Philippines has ranked 12th as the most populous country in the world; 84 million by the end of 2004, and counting. At an annual growth rate of 2.36%, the population will have doubled by 2033 and may reach 200 million by 2042. It's a young population (50% is under 21 years old) and it's facing lots of afflictive shortages. Shortages on food, shelter, doctors, teachers, nurses, midwives and other vital needs of every citizens.Today, we are also threatened with the constant rise on the prices of oil. Let's add to that the arrivals of typhoons after typhoons plus the increasing rate of unemployment of the Filipino citizens and of course, the nation's huge domestic and foreign debts. With all the presence of these elements, poverty in the country is really expected to worsen.

What happened to the Philippines? A promising country who turned out to the sick man of Asia. Who are responsible for these catastrophe? Who are to be blamed? Is it our leaders, or we are also part of it?

Some says that Filipinos are indolent, thieves, corrupt, undesciplined, crab-minded and divided, is it true? If it is, can these traits be considered as the main reason why we are suffering poverty?

The answer is yours. The change is also in you. Wake up and make a move.
